October 11, 2008 -- Over 50 boys and girls from SAS spent a portion of their semester holiday at the FastBreak Fall Break Camp.
The camp was run by FastBreak Director, Mike Denzel, and included FastBreak coaches Lynne Tay, Jasper Wong, Yee Nee Tan and High school counselor Katie Bree.
As to be expected, the Skills Challenge contest provided an exciting competitive element to the afternoon sessions. In the girls division, Stephanie Chang narrowly edged out Jodi Iha (104-99 points), in a battle that was close the entire week. Emily Bigler finished 3rd with 90 points.
On the boys side, Madison Clower drained 30 of 40 shots to cruise to an overall victory with 113 points. Andrew DuCharme finished 2nd with 104. David Koo claimed 3rd with 95 points, just ahead of John Cole, who finished 4th with 103. The two were tied going into the final contest.
The first place finishers each received a copy of the video game NBA LIVE '09, courtesy of EA Sports.
