FastBreak Claims 3 CBL Titles...

... 14&U Boys win their fourth consecutive Championship. 

The FastBreak Basketball Club was out in force at the recently completed CBL Finals, with 7 teams competing for medals.  As three FastBreak teams clearly proved: DEFENSE wins championships! 

14&U Boys Division 1 (FastBreak 44 - Prestige 34)  A smothering team defensive effort brought the 14&U Boys A their fourth consecutive championship. The boys knocked-off the title favorites, taking a 36-19 lead after 3 quarters.  On the offensive end, Jack McCabe poured in 18 points, and Bryan Paul added 10. 

12&U Boys Division 1 (FastBreak 38 - Sharks 30)  Down 7 points at the half, the 12&U Boys A turned-up the ‘D,’ holding their opponents to just 8 second half points. Top scorers for FastBreak:  Vincent Favati (10), Tony Crema (8), David Bray (6), Jack Machulski (6) and Spencer Hong (5). 

12&U Girls Division 2 (FastBreak 14 - Sharks 13)  In the most thrilling game of the day, the 12&U Girls B came from 8 points down, holding their opponents to just 2 second half points.  Samantha McCabe scored 11 points to lead FastBreak. 

Congratulations to two FastBreak teams that had fantastic overall seasons, bringing home the silver hardware. 

12&U Girls Division 1  The 12&U Girls A finished their season with an overall 8-3 record, going 8-1 in league play.  In the final, Morgan Allen (16) and Emily Bigler (8) led the team in scoring. 

12&U Boys Division 2  Going into the Final, the 12&U Boys C had a perfect 10-0 record.  The team, comprised almost entirely of 9 and 10 year olds, played a fantastic game against an older and larger opponent.  Cole Derksen led a furious 2^nd half-comeback with 11 points.
