“MULTI-SPORT” SUMMER CAMPS ’10

FastBreak will be offering a dynamic multi-sports program this summer!

Schedule:  Monday –Friday

June 14 – June 18

June 21 – June 25

June 28 – July 2

Who:  Open to boys and girls, ages 5-8 and ages 9-12.


 

Multi-Sports Program

Players will have plenty of opportunity to participate in an assortment of exciting team activities to build on their physical fitness, coordination, and skills. Sports will include dodge ball, basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, soccer, relay races, Capture the Flag, and much more! In the spirit of the upcoming youth Olympic games, each week will end with a mini-Olympics!  Focus will be on teamwork and having fun!

In case of rain, sessions will be moved to the indoor sports hall.


Venue

Emaar International School is centrally located at 201 Ulu Pandan Road. Facilities include 2 indoor sports halls, an expansive outdoor sports field with natural grass, a covered picnic area for lunch, and a playground area.

 

Staff

Mike Denzel, Managing Director

Mike has been actively involved in the sport of basketball for 30+ years as a player, coach and professional manager. He played Division 1 college ball at Yale in the mid-80’s followed by 3 years of semi-pro ball in Germany.  He worked 12 years for the NBA, the last 7 running its Asia business.  Mike is actively involved in coaching across all programs at FastBreak.

Wen Cheuk, Coach

Coach Wen has been active in basketball as a player/coach for the past 20+ years, and played on the Division 1 Women’s Team at San Jose State University in California.  For the past 9 years, Wen worked in Hong Kong as a primary and secondary PE teacher at an international school and coached boys’ and girls’ U12-U20 teams in the International Schools Sports Federation leagues.


What to Bring

Campers should wear sports shoes (no crocs or sandals!) and a pair of socks, as well as sport shorts and a t-shirt.

Please bring a hat and sunscreen for the outdoor sessions, as well as a water bottle.  Several water fountains are available to refill the bottles during the day.

Full-day campers should bring a lunch and snacks.  Coolers will be available to shield lunches from the heat.

Registration:  There are 2 options for campers:  ½ day or full day.

Option A:          ½ Day                  9:00-12:00                           $375/week

Option B:         Full Day                9:00-3:00                           $575/week
