FastBreak Teams Garner 10 CBL Medals

The 2017 CBL season is in the books and it's time to look back on a season of firsts for the FastBreak program.  This Fall saw a record 10 teams earn medals during the CBL playoffs.  Below there are a few highlights from our Fall season and a look ahead to what is a very promising Spring! Additionally, you'll find a link to pictures from Championship Sunday at the CBL.  (If you have any photos you'd like to share with us please email kbreslin@fastbreak.com.sg or tag us on Facebook!)

11&U Boys Steal the Show

This Fall FastBreak entered a record 6 teams into the 11&U competition.  These rosters featured over 50 kids who had never played competitive basketball before August.

-The 11&U Division 2 boys featured the youngest roster of any FastBreak team and lost a few close games as they gained experience.  By the end of the season these newcomers began to share the ball like veterans and Coach Mesecke expressed high praise for these boys and their bright futures in the sport.

-Incredibly, both 11&U Division 3 teams completed undefeated regular seasons on their way to the CBL playoffs despite having 0 players with previous CBL experience on their rosters.

-The 11&U Division 1 boys were a seasoned bunch by these standards and withstood an injury to a key player on the way to a bronze medal.

13&U Girls Earn Silver Medals

- These girls earned more accolades than any other FastBreak team this Fall.  After losing their first game at the Asia Pacific Cup in October these girls rallied to win 4 straight before losing in the final of the invitational tournament featuring teams from several countries.

-Building on that success the girls made a run to the CBL Championship game where they lost a close game to a very strong team they had previously beaten during the regular season.
