Spring Break Camps

Singapore American School will not be open during Spring Break this season, but with many of our families likely to be staying in Singapore during this time, we have secured limited court space at Scholar Basketball Academy's facility, at 2 Gambas Cres. #01-21.

With this limited court availability, we will be running small group sessions for all age groups (Elementary, Middle and High School players) with very limited capacity.

Information on the options for SAS students are to the right of this message, with information for both weeks of Spring Break for UWCE students below.

School restrictions remain in place at both schools, with only students from their respective schools allowed on campus.

Small Group Camps for SAS Students @ SBA

Small Group sessions for SAS Students during Spring Break will take place at Scholar Basketball Academy's facilities @ 2 Gambas Cres. #01-21

SAS Spring Break
March 23 - 27 (Mon-Fri) 

Times (1 hour block per group per day)
12:00-13:00 / 13:00-14:00 / 14:00-15:00
Individual times will be confirmed when attendees are confirmed

$300 (5 days)

Development Camp

Introductory basketball camp for beginner & intermediate players using age-appropriate basketballs and basket heights.

Camp emphasizes the basic fundamentals of basketball:  
footwork, ball-handling, passing, shooting and lay-ups.  

Basic contests and games are introduced to reinforce the fundamentals and add a level of fun.  

UWC East
Week 1: March 23 - March 27 (Mon-Fri) 
Week 2: March 30 - April 3 (Mon-Fri) 
3 day option available

Times: 10:00 -12:00

Age Groups
Kindergarten - Grade 5

$350 (5 days) / $240 (3 days)

Semi-Private Training 

Fine-tune your skills in our Elite sessions for small groups. 

Emphasis will be placed on conditioning, shooting and ball handling.
Focus will be given for positional work for individual needs.
Gameplay will be broken down into 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 games.

1:1 session: $100 p.h.
1:2 session: $80 p.h.

Shooting Camp

At our shooting camps we start with the basics and follow a progression up to advanced one-on-one moves against a defender.

Form shooting with emphasis on accuracy & repetition
Catch & shoot: feet ready, show hands, keep ball up
Foot-work: turn & shoot, curling off screens, pivoting off inside foot
Shooting moves off the dribble
Creating contact and getting to the free-throw line

Semi Private Sessions Detailed Information

1. Shooting
Have your shot analyzed by our new HomeCourt app technology. This app will keep track of the shots you take on court as you go through a personalized shooting practice with one of our coaches. Sharpen your form and improve your technique as you sit down and have an in-depth look at your field goal percentage, arc and shot release speed.

2. Finishing
Prepare for next years club and school seasons by expanding your finishing game. Learn new options around the rim and off the dribble. Practice finishing over a defender and through contact to give you a game like experience. Focus will be given for positional work based on individual needs.

3. Ball Handling
Improve your ball handling skills to enhance your game. Focus on keeping the ball on your fingertips using specialized dribbling gloves and be forced to keep your head up using goggles that prevent you from looking down at the ball. We will also utilise our HomeCourt app dribbling program to take your handles to the next level.

4. Agility, fitness and vertical
Stay in shape during the off season by going through a series of drills that will improve your reaction time, vertical jump and foot speed. Sessions will be tailored based on individual needs, using new equipment such as resistance parachutes and jump trainers. Use these drills throughout the summer for optimal results and reach your fitness goals.
