Last Sunday marked the end of our Fall 2019 season in the Community Basketball League.  This season, FastBreak sent 19 teams to participate in the league, of which 15 teams qualified for the finals. The day started with our U13 boys Division 2 as well as our U11 boys Division 1, both in the championship game. 

Our 13 boys Division 2 had a very dominant season as they were undefeated throughout. Despite missing some of our key players on the day of the finals, others stepped up to the challenge and shined on the big stage. The team eventually emerged victorious by playing extremely tough defence as well as playing unselfishly. On the other side of the gym, our 11 boys Division 1 were up against a tough opponent and were neck and neck throughout the game. The team eventually managed to pull away and seized a lead in the 4th quarter, and when the buzzer sounded, our 11 boys won the gold medal and were crowned back to back champions.

Fastbreak girls had a successful season as well, in which five of six teams advanced to the finals. Our U13 Division 2 and U15 Division 1 fought their way to the championship game whilst our U11 Division 1 and U15 Division 2 were fighting for bronze. 

To finish off the day our U15 Division 2 boys took the gold medal in their championship game. Their hard work during practices was evident in their play, with everyone contributing and playing as a team. After a long day of consecutive games that began early in the morning, FastBreak eventually won a total of 3 golds, 5 silver and 3 bronze, concluding the season as the most successful independent club in Singapore.
