A record total of 20 Fastbreak teams entered the Community Basketball League competition this January.  Many of these teams featured players competing in their first season of competitive, organized basketball and we are proud to report on the overwhelming success of our club across all ages and divisions. 

14 of the 20 teams qualified for CBL Finals by finishing in the top 4 teams within their respective divisions, the most of any single club in all of Singapore. To go along with this record, we were the only club to have all of our Division 1 teams play in the Finals, as well as winning more overall medals than any club, with 3 Golds, 4 Silvers and 2 Bronze.

In addition to our record number of finalists we also hosted CBL Finals at our home venue, UWC East, for the first time, crowning champions for multiple age groups while also distributing medals for 3rd place clubs in a few consolation games. 

As for our specific achievements, the 18&U Boys Division 1, 13&U Girls Division 3 and 11&U Girls Division 2 teams all achieved gold to cap off remarkable seasons. It is a testimony to our players across all age levels that we achieved the highest award with both our oldest team as well as our youngest!

The 18&U Boys in particular showed tremendous resilience after losing their first 3 games of the season to rally with 7 consecutive wins.  They capped off this impressive streak with a 56-46 win in the championship game.

Meanwhile our Girls' champions in the 11&U and 13&U divisions made everyone in the club proud by recording decisive victories in championship games.  Many of these girls began playing basketball at the beginning of this school year and watching their progress has been a joy for parents, coaches and players alike.  Their hard work during team practices was evident in their team play, with contributions from all players in the CBL playoffs.
